These Terms of Service ("Terms") cover every submission to and use of AGA Grading ("Authentic Grading Authority", "AGA", "we", "us"), including agagrading.com. By submitting cards or paying for an order, you agree to these Terms.
AGA grades sports cards and trading card game cards, encapsulates them in an AGA holder, and records them in our public Population Report and certification lookup. Optional services include autograph authentication and autograph grading for signed cards. We don't currently accept comics, magazines, or loose memorabilia; anything we can't grade is returned ungraded at your expense.
An AGA grade is our professional opinion of a card's condition on the date we graded it, based on AGA's grading standards. Each card is examined by an AGA grader and checked by our AI system. Grades from other companies may differ, and AGA does not promise any particular grade or resale value.
We may decline to grade a card we believe is counterfeit, trimmed, recolored, or otherwise altered, or one we can't safely encapsulate. Such cards are returned without a grade, and their fees are not refunded (see section 8).
Prices, service tiers, coverage limits, and return shipping rates are listed on our Pricing page and calculated at checkout. Payment is collected online through Stripe or PayPal when you submit your order. AGA never sees or stores your full card number. Promo codes have their own conditions and expiration dates and can't be combined unless we say so.
If the cards we receive don't match your order (for example, more cards, a different tier, or a card worth more than its tier covers), we'll contact you to settle the difference before grading or returning them.
Turnaround starts when your package is received and scanned in, and it doesn't include shipping time. Published turnaround times are our commitment and we work to meet or beat them, but delays can happen from volume, missing information, or events outside our control.
From the time we receive your cards until the carrier delivers your return package, each card is covered up to the lower of its declared value or your service tier's coverage limit per card. That covered amount is the most AGA will pay for any card that is lost or damaged while in our care or in return transit. Claims must be reported to support@agagrading.com within 30 days of delivery (or of the expected delivery date for a lost package).
AGA is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits, a change in market value, or a grade being lower than you expected. Our total liability for any order is limited to the covered value of the cards in that order.
Return shipping uses the method listed on our Pricing page for your covered value. We don't accept prepaid return labels.
If you believe we made an error, email support@agagrading.com with your cert number within 30 days of delivery. The card must still be in its original, unopened AGA holder. If we confirm an error, we'll correct the grade and reissue the label at no charge. A review may confirm, raise, or lower the grade.
You can cancel your order for a full refund any time before your cards are scanned in at AGA. Once your cards are scanned in, the order can't be cancelled, and grading fees, add-on fees, return shipping, and insurance are non-refundable.
AGA holders are tamper-evident. Opening, cracking, or altering a holder or label voids the grade and certification for that card. You may not reproduce AGA labels, holders, logos, or cert numbers, or use them to misrepresent a card. Any cert can be checked at agagrading.com/verify.
If a return package is refused, undeliverable, or an order balance goes unpaid, we'll contact you by email. If we can't reach you or resolve it within 90 days, we may charge storage or reshipping costs, and after 180 days we may treat the cards as abandoned as allowed by Tennessee law.
Card details, grades, and images of graded cards may appear in our public Population Report and certification lookup and in AGA marketing. These records never show your name or contact details.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Wilson County, Tennessee, unless the law requires otherwise.
We may update these Terms. The version posted on the date you submit your order applies to that order.
